Manifesto:

For years, the path of music has been shaped by big corporations, industry plants, and prefab artists. But that path is no longer the only one.

We are a collective of misfits, producers, and visionaries who decided to create our own timeline.

Unpopular JPEGs wasn’t born in a boardroom; it was born in home studios, late-night conversations, and the shared frustration of watching the music industry recycle the same patterns while the world around us transformed.

1. The magic isn’t in the prompts.

Today, you can type a few words and generate a song with a machine. But that’s not music. The magic lies in human emotions, in imperfect decisions, in mistakes that tell stories. We don’t reject technology, but we don’t let it dictate the process either. Emotional connection will always be irreplaceable.

2. The heart of music: the essential creators.

For far too long, the real creators of music –producers, composers, and creative minds– have worked in the shadows while others took the credit. At Unpopular JPEGs, they are the core. This is a space where those who truly make the music can finally shine.

3. Fans are not just listeners.

Music shouldn’t be something you simply consume. At Unpopular JPEGs, fans are part of the creative process. Here, you listen, share ideas, collaborate, and create. Every song is a collective act, a reflection of voices that dare to participate.

4. Technology is a tool, not the artist.

While others argue over whether AI will "kill" music, we’ve moved beyond that debate. Technology isn’t the enemy or the savior; it’s just another tool. In our hands, it amplifies ideas but never replaces what makes them unique: our humanity.

5. The voice: an instrument without limits.

In music, switching between hundreds of instrument sounds is second nature. But the human voice has always been constrained by the range and tone of the singer. This is where technology truly shines. At Unpopular JPEGs, the voice is another instrument in your creative arsenal. Thousands of voices, one goal: to bring the music you imagine to life. It’s a perfect example of how technology can resolve limitations and expand creative possibilities, without erasing the human touch.
Here, it doesn’t matter if you’re a producer, a composer, or just someone who loves music: everyone can be part of the clan. At Unpopular JPEGs, every project is the authentic result of collaboration between those who always dreamed of making music and those who never imagined they could.

Unpopular JPEGs is for those who understand that the future of music isn’t about repeating what worked yesterday, but daring to imagine what no one else sees coming.
The future is here. And it’s far stranger than you expected.
